Call for Papers

Aims and Scope:

Blockchain combines a number of properties, in particular, untamperability, auditability, accessibility, global identification and inherent distribution. Newer blockchains such as Ethereum further provide execution environments such that the elements loaded upon a chain can have interesting behaviour. These are the so-called smart contracts. Cyber-physical systems combine the physical and computing domains with particular relevance in medical, automotive and other systems. One of the major requirements here is that the interaction between the user and the computer must be safe, especially in the bi-directional cases. As computing and said cyber-physical interactions become more diverse and distributed we find a natural link between the distributed heterogeneous operations of these devices and systems and the distributed nature of blockchain. Moreover, it is interesting to investigate if blockchain and the cryptographic operations behind it can solve the security and scalability issues caused by the centralized architecture models in cyberphysical systems.
